Our take on Yesterday's News
Rather than placing players in a conventional combat, puzzle, or exploration structure, the game turns tabloid headline writing into the central contest. Its scoring also rewards words reused by other players, so contribution matters even when a submitted headline does not win the vote.
What is Yesterday's News?
Yesterday's News is a party game for 3–8 players centered on humorous headline writing.
Before the article topic appears, players submit words for the group to use. Once the news item is revealed, each player combines assigned words into a headline that fits the topic. Players then vote for the funniest and most suitable headline, sending the entry with the most votes to press. Scoring also rewards players whose submitted words appear in other players' headlines, so participation can earn points beyond a winning headline. One purchase covers a group through the Friend's Pass, allowing friends or an audience to join free for up to 8 total players.
