Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a relaxed pace may hit the wall when continuous alien waves begin applying pressure.
- Players who want to defeat every enemy may dislike the objective of simply enduring nine combat rounds.
- Players looking for competitive multiplayer may not fit the fully cooperative structure.
- Players seeking a game outside card-based defense and deck-building may find its central systems too narrow.
Our take on XenoShyft
The bounce point arrives when the defense shifts from card selection to coordinated survival across multiple NorTec divisions. Players who do not want to plan around escalating alien waves may hit the wall before reaching the ninth combat round.
What is XenoShyft?
XenoShyft is a cooperative base-defense card game for 1–4 players, with a single-player option.
Players command divisions of the NorTec Corporation, including the Science Labs, Med Bay, Armory, Weapon’s Research, Barracks, and Command Center. Each division has distinct abilities that contribute to protecting the base while field operations continue. Players coordinate their decisions, build decks, and equip troops with armor and weapon upgrade cards as waves of alien enemies attack. The objective is to endure the assault rather than eliminate every threat. The mission succeeds after surviving nine combat rounds. Multiplayer supports cross-platform play across iOS, Android, PC, and Mac.
