Our take on X2: The Threat
Its defining structure is a space economy spread across more than 130 sectors, where mining, manufacturing, trading, missions, and combat connect within the same universe.
What is X2: The Threat?
Play as Julian Gardna in a space simulator that continues the story of X: Beyond The Frontier.
Travel through more than 130 sectors containing nebulas that affect ships and stations, along with asteroids that can be mined and sold for profit. Choose from over 60 ships, ranging from scouts to carrier-class battleships, and improve their systems with additional upgrades. New weapons include the Ion Disruptor and Mass Driver. Weapon factories can produce equipment for sale while expanding an industrial empire. Missions appear on station bulletin boards, including convoy defense and battles against Xenon fleets. The larger conflict involves protecting the universe from the Khaak.
