Our take on Facteroids
Its defining mechanic is a fully three-dimensional, destructible mining environment: extracting material changes the asteroid itself, and depleted sites remain as holes in the terrain.
What is Facteroids?
Facteroids is a 3D factory-building game set across asteroid bodies and planets in the Solar system.
Players land a spaceship, deploy automated bots, prospect sites, extract materials, and arrange production lines. Factories require ongoing supplies of resources and power through conveyors, pipes, and power lines. Colonies add infrastructure and inhabitant needs to manage. Missing materials can be obtained through trade, while research opens additional technologies. The game includes campaign scenarios and procedurally generated worlds. Asteroids are fully destructible: removing mass changes the terrain and depleted mines leave excavated holes. A campaign and mission editor supports creating custom content.
How Facteroids plays

- 02Automated Mining
- Bots can be deployed after landing to extract materials from asteroids and planets.
- 03Colony Management
- Bases and supporting infrastructure must be built around the needs of colonists.
- 04Factory Logistics
- Conveyors, pipes, and power lines connect production machines to their required inputs.
- 05Research And Trade
- Research provides access to technologies, while trading supplies resources that are missing.
- 06Scenario Editor
- Custom campaigns and missions can be created with the included editor.
