Set during World War II, Wolfenstein 3D follows William “B.
J. ” Blazkowicz after he is captured while trying to steal plans for Operation Eisenfaust. A chance to escape leads through Castle Wolfenstein’s maze of passages, where soldiers and other enemies stand in the way. The game is a first-person shooter built around running, shooting, and fighting through six episodes, with weapons including knives, pistols, and machine guns. The included Spear of Destiny expansion is a prequel in which Blazkowicz infiltrates Castle Nuremberg to recover the stolen Spear of Destiny.
