Our take on Warman
Its narrow focus on fighting, equipment, and character growth leaves little room for narrative context or moral choice. The same streamlined structure that supports repeated combat runs also limits the range of activities beyond battles, dungeons, and build experimentation.
What is Warman?
Warman is a hack-and-slash action RPG centered on combat, character statistics, equipment, and dungeon exploration rather than story or moral decisions.
Players create a hero, travel across 17 connected maps in 3 biomes, fight monsters, and explore handcrafted and procedurally generated dungeons. A freeform class system supports roles such as archer, warrior, bandit, and elemental mage, with weapon changes allowing different combat approaches. Items can receive modifiers, while the Blacksmith can reforge unwanted equipment. Character development focuses on stacking bonuses and raising power. Adventures can be played alone or cooperatively with up to eight players. Death does not remove gear.
How Warman plays
- 01Flexible Class System
- Several roles have distinct skills and passive ability trees, and changing weapons can shift the character's combat style.
- 02Modified Equipment
- Dropped items can include modifiers, and the Blacksmith can reforge equipment.
- 03Connected Game World
- The world contains 17 linked maps spanning 3 biomes, with both handcrafted and procedurally generated dungeons.
- 04Eight-Player Cooperation
- The game supports solo play and groups of up to eight players at once.
- 05Gear Retained After Death
- A defeated character keeps their equipment when returning to the fight.
