Void Sols is a minimalist souls-like action RPG set in an abstract fantasy world of ruins, shadows, and hostile shapes.
Players explore a hand-crafted labyrinth across different biomes, searching for rare items, hidden routes, secrets, and the truth behind the world's darkness. Combat focuses on studying enemy patterns, exploiting weaknesses, managing movement and timing, and using traps against foes. Defeating enemies and exploring grants Sols, which can be spent at bonfires to change stats and equip weapons. Defeat returns the character to the cycle of learning and retrying, while lost Sols can be reclaimed. Sword-wielding enemies, ranged attackers, allies, and bosses populate the journey.
