Our take on Void Grimm
The real-time combat gives card decisions a faster pace, but it leaves less room for deliberation unless active pause is used. Its run-based structure also means adapting each attempt rather than relying on one fixed deck.
What is Void Grimm?
Void Grimm is a real-time roguelike deckbuilder about commanding a spaceship through enemy encounters.
Weapons and ship systems are cards that can be played again after their cooldowns, until their ammunition runs out; discarding reloads them and draws replacements. Choose when to play cards and when to discard them, adapting to enemy defenses and threats. Between battles and at events, add cards to the deck, recruit officers, and make ship upgrades. Runs offer route choices, including regular fights, champions, dungeons, and random encounters.
Three ships each have two loadouts, and players can choose from six heroes, perks, and multiple difficulty settings. Research points earned after runs unlock features for later attempts. Combat can run at speed or use an active pause for planning.
How Void Grimm plays
