Instead of following a single campaign path, the game packages party-building and tactical RPG decisions into repeated, procedurally generated runs. Its structure also treats death as progression, with new classes, gear, abilities, and difficulty levels opening across attempts.
What is Valor of Man?
Valor of Man is a turn-based roguelite RPG in which four heroes travel through procedurally generated chapters.
Choose from 12 fantasy classes, customize class variants and loadouts, and combine abilities, items, and artifacts to shape each run. Combat uses limited action points, hero skills, items, reactive enemy actions, and a reaction mechanic that changes the board after attacks. The full game includes 300+ abilities, 290 items, 170 artifacts, 50+ enemy types, and 9 bosses. Runs unlock classes, gear, passives, and abilities, with 10 difficulty levels. Chaos Mode adds customizable modifiers, while the Mastery System records builds that have completed a run.

Valor of Man compared to similar games
Valor of Man combines four-hero party construction, procedural chapters, and abilities, items, and artifacts. Shogun Showdown also uses turn-based roguelike combat, but centers on positioning, attack tiles, combos, and deck construction before facing the Shogun rather than managing a four-character fantasy party. Back to the Dawn is an RPG about surviving and escaping a prison while investigating its inmates, giving it a prison-escape setting rather than Valor of Man's procedurally generated fantasy chapters.
