Our take on Gearshifters
Instead of treating racing as a clean contest on fixed tracks, the game turns driving into a delivery run through changing hostile territory. Combat, vehicle modification, faction encounters, and permadeath are part of the racing structure rather than separate modes.
What is Gearshifters?
Gearshifters combines top-down vehicle combat with rogue-lite progression.
Players drive across a procedurally generated version of war-torn Europe, completing hazardous delivery missions while dodging projectiles, breaking through convoys, and attacking hostile vehicles. Each run uses changing routes, enemies, and gear unlocks. Successful deliveries provide payment for modifying the combat car with offensive, defensive, cosmetic, and performance-focused parts. The game includes 11 factions, mega-vehicle boss encounters, and nine zones to cross on the way to the Citadel. Multiple difficulty settings are available, including a permadeath option. More than 100 upgradeable parts provide different ways to configure the vehicle.

Gearshifters compared to similar games
GRIP: Combat Racing is a combat racer centered on wheeled or airborne vehicles, speed, and weapon use against opponents. Gearshifters instead builds its driving around procedurally changing delivery routes, rogue-lite progression, vehicle upgrades, factions, and mega-boss encounters.
