Our take on Battle Axe
The campaign centers on three selectable heroes with different weapons and abilities, fighting through four regions in eight-direction arcade combat. Local co-op is also available.
What is Battle Axe?
Battle Axe is a top-down action adventure built around arcade-style hack-and-slash combat.
Choose Fae, Iolo, or Rooney, each with different weapons and abilities, then fight through monster waves and boss battles across four regions of Mercia. Combat allows attacks in eight directions, using both melee strikes and ranged projectiles. Between battles, collect gold, scrolls, and potions, and visit the merchant Ælfwyn to upgrade gear. The game supports solo play and local co-op. Its pixel-art presentation and soundtrack accompany a quest to defeat the dark sorceress Etheldred and reach her stronghold in the North.
