Our take on Dark Raider
The run-based structure gives up persistent dungeon progress: death resets the dungeon, shifting the focus to adapting to new maps, enemies, and combat choices rather than continuing through one fixed route.
What is Dark Raider?
Dark Raider is a retro action RPG centered on repeated dungeon runs.
Maps are randomly generated, and each attempt brings new areas and monsters. When a character dies, the dungeon resets. Players can choose from three heroes: Warrior, Mage, and Barbarian, each with different approaches to movement, damage, defense, and attack speed. Combat includes air, counter, and charge attacks that can be combined against enemies. Characters grow stronger and unlock abilities during each run, with more than 17 ways to play each character. The game features hundreds of dungeons and 23 different bosses in a dark fantasy setting with a retro-style visual design.
