Our take on UltraGoodness
Rather than framing goodness as restraint, the game presents it through excessive violence: blood, corpses, spells, firearms, companions, and attacks on possessed creatures. Its top-down roguelike structure replaces a slower moral journey with rapid enemy clearing and survival.
What is UltraGoodness?
UltraGoodness is a top-down action-roguelike shooter about fighting possessed creatures in a conflict between Good and Evil.
Fast combat centers on killing enemies while surviving traps, demons, an army of hostile creatures, and bosses. Characters in the League of Goodness have individual skills, guns, and spells. Random companions and power-ups can join a run, including effects that burn or freeze enemies, a pug companion, and a ghost companion. Levels use colorful pixel art and emphasize graphic violence, with blood and corpses across the environment. The game also invites players to suggest new worlds, characters, enemies, traps, and companions through its discussion area.

Abyssus also combines shooting with roguelite progression, but it focuses on multiplayer combat, hand-crafted levels, and weapon modification through ancient technologies. Sundered: Eldritch Edition is an action metroidvania, while UltraGoodness uses top-down shooter combat with random companions and power-ups rather than metroidvania exploration. Hentai Vs Furries is a third-person shooter with quests, skins, multiple camera angles, and emotes, whereas UltraGoodness uses a top-down view and character abilities, spells, traps, and bosses.
