Is Just King worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Players who enjoy roguelike runs with party-building decisions
- Strategy fans who want positioning and hero synergy without direct attack controls
- Players seeking replayable combat zones with adjustable difficulty
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players wanting direct control over every attack will hit the auto-battler system, where heroes fight on their own.
- Players seeking a single linear campaign may find the replayable zones and repeatable runs too cyclical.
- Players who prefer one fixed difficulty may not enjoy choosing modifiers and scaling challenge levels.
Our take on Just King
The bounce point arrives when combat begins: attacks run automatically, leaving party placement as the main battlefield decision. Players expecting direct control over each hero’s actions may find that system too hands-off, while the large hero roster and synergy choices add complexity before each run.
What is Just King?
Just King combines real-time combat with automatic hero attacks and roguelike progression.
Build a four-member squad from 33 heroes, arrange their positions during encounters, and pair compatible abilities. Victories yield loot for character improvements and purchases of legendary equipment. Every zone introduces its own foes and gameplay rules before concluding with a fight against that region’s ruler. Individual zones remain available for separate repeat attempts, while Endless Mode links the full set of zones and raises the challenge over time. Story events outside combat offer several ways for heroes to handle brief scenarios. Optional difficulty modifiers can reduce or greatly increase run difficulty. The game also features an in-world bard and an original music collection.

Just King compared to similar games
