The defining detail is the group-survival structure: control moves among eight friends at an isolated lodge, while decisions determine each character’s fate and who survives.
What is Until Dawn™?
Eight friends return to an isolated mountain lodge one year after two members of their group vanished.
Their retreat becomes a slasher horror story in which choices shape each character’s fate and determine who survives. The PC version rebuilds the game with Unreal Engine 5 visuals, revised gameplay mechanics, movie-like cinematography, and a third-person camera. Players investigate new environments and collect additional items while exploring the mountain setting. Re-cut narrative sequences deepen the mystery, and a new musical score with reauthored audio accompanies the journey. The cast includes Hayden Panettiere, Brett Dalton, and other performers whose facial-capture work presents the group’s personalities.
