Our take on Unnatural Disaster
The disaster-focused design gives up conventional city-building control: cities expand independently, while the player’s role is limited to disrupting growth through destruction, terrain changes, environmental restoration, and attack upgrades.
What is Unnatural Disaster?
Unnatural Disaster reverses the city-builder format: cities expand on their own while players control nature and try to halt urban sprawl.
Natural disasters destroy buildings, while replacing towers with trees restores the environment and produces energy for further attacks. Powers can be upgraded for tougher challenges, and disasters can be combined to bypass defenses such as missile systems and firefighting tankers. The campaign includes dozens of handcrafted stages across five regions, with scenarios involving expanding settlements, megastructures, and real-world cities. Arcade Mode focuses on destroying as many buildings as possible, Sandbox Mode allows custom megacity creation and destruction, and Daily Challenge generates new cities procedurally.
