Our take on Matching Meadows
The card-and-level structure gives each session a defined puzzle to solve, but limits the freedom associated with open-ended city building. Deck decisions and tile balance take priority over unrestricted urban planning.
What is Matching Meadows?
Matching Meadows is a deck-based puzzle game about building a village or city from cards.
Each card has an objective, rarity, value, tile type and side effects to consider. Players seek a balance between city, nature and industry tiles while planning how to use each hand. Pool mode automatically evolves the deck as the score increases. In Draft levels, players choose which cards are added. The game includes seven distinct worlds and 38 handcrafted levels, with different challenges and objectives for each level. Players can also compare scores on leaderboards against friends and other competitors. Its gameplay combines card placement, deckbuilding and strategic puzzle solving within a sequence of handcrafted levels.
