Our take on UNDETECTED
The bounce point arrives when stealth mistakes become permanent: Mexican Extreme deletes the save after an alert. Players who want to recover from detection without losing the run will hit that rule, while others may reach the wall earlier when managing footsteps, lighting, and enemy attention.
What is UNDETECTED?
Set in Yucatan, Mexico, in 2063, UNDETECTED follows Tenoch Kaan, a former CIMACORP agent searching for missing members of Los Desplazados.
Progress centers on remaining unseen, darkening areas, avoiding footprints, and controlling noise from movement, surfaces, weapons, and items. Scout mode slows the action and shows an augmented overhead view for assessing enemy positions. Lethal force is unavailable; melee attacks and non-lethal weapons incapacitate or immobilize opponents. Rubber bullets can strike light switches, while slime explosives reduce footstep noise. Rescuing captives raises maximum health and battery capacity and provides key cards for restricted areas. Four difficulty settings range from relaxed stealth to Mexican Extreme, where an alert deletes the save.
How UNDETECTED plays
- 01Light-based stealth
- Players can extinguish lights to create darker paths and must avoid leaving tracks.
- 02Sound management
- Movement, surfaces, weapons, and items can attract enemies or serve as deliberate distractions.
- 03Overhead scouting
- A slowed-time augmented view shows nearby positions for planning movement.
- 04Non-lethal combat
- Melee attacks and specialized weapons disable opponents rather than killing them.
- 05Captive rescues
- Freed members increase health and battery capacity and provide cards for entering additional areas.
- 06Four difficulty levels
- The highest setting deletes the save when an alert is triggered.
