Underland replaces the usual focus on characters or large-scale management with excavation as its main puzzle structure. Each stage treats the route itself as the challenge, requiring machinery, fluids and physical objects to be coordinated before the next elevator can be reached.
What is Underland?
Underland is a physics puzzle game set after Earth’s surface becomes uninhabitable and the remaining population lives underground.
Players dig toward an underground city, using an elevator as transport between sections of the planet. Each stage presents a large environmental puzzle with only a few possible routes to the next elevator. Available elements include excavators, pumps, pipes, cannons, drones and dynamic platforms. Progress depends on directing the excavation and manipulating soil, fluid behavior and physical rules. Green acidic fluid is a hazard to avoid. The equipment and objects provided in each environment must be combined to create a path and reach the stage’s destination.
