- Players looking for a human or military command role may not fit the zombie-overlord perspective
- Players who prefer stories centered on individual heroes may find the horde-management premise too impersonal
Our take on Outbreak Overlord
Players who depend on turn-based pauses will hit the main wall when missions require live decisions about infecting targets and deploying the growing horde. The cure research in survivor communities adds another pressure point for attack planning.
What is Outbreak Overlord?
Control a zombie outbreak from its first infection, using real-time tactics to expand an undead force.
Infect civilians and soldiers, including heavily armed targets, then send the converted horde on hazardous missions. The post-apocalyptic world is divided into survivor communities, with each community working in research centers to develop a cure. Strategy involves choosing how to spread the infection, attacking communities, and turning inhabitants into loyal undead followers before the cure can be completed. The objective is to create an outbreak that leaves no possibility of a cure while destroying the remaining human communities. The game places the player in command of the zombie side throughout its missions.
