Our take on TypeOut
The combat framing gives TypeOut a broader feel than a conventional typing test, but the store page also places the game in early access and points to future modes, abilities, and unlockables. The current offering may therefore be narrower than the battle-focused presentation suggests.
What is TypeOut?
TypeOut turns typing prompts into competitive matches.
Players enter text quickly, unlock powerups, arrange them into a loadout, and assign them during battles. These abilities can be used to attack opponents and slow them down. The game is currently in early access, with additional modes, powerups, unlockables, and other features planned during development.
How TypeOut plays
- 01Typing Battles
- Matches center on entering prompts quickly while competing against opponents.
- 02Powerup Loadouts
- Unlocked abilities can be arranged into sets before being used in a battle.
- 03Opponent Attacks
- Powerups can be assigned offensively to slow opposing players.
