Our take on Twin Mirror
The bounce point arrives when investigation shifts into Sam’s Mind Palace and internal dialogue. Players looking for direct action may disengage there, as progress depends on revisiting memories, testing possible scenarios, and weighing relationship-driven choices.
What is Twin Mirror?
Twin Mirror follows Sam Higgs, a former investigative journalist who returns to Basswood after the death of his best friend, Nick.
Investigation unfolds through exploration, conversations, and Sam’s Mind Palace, where past memories, possible scenarios, and reconstructed events can be examined for leads. Sam also speaks with his unseen Double, a more social and empathetic aspect of his personality, while confronting conflicting thoughts and feelings. Decisions affect the investigation’s direction and Sam’s relationships with people in town. The story focuses on uncovering Basswood’s troubled past, confronting Sam’s own history, and deciding how much he is willing to risk for the truth.
