Our take on Tsugunohi
Rather than using combat, puzzles, or broad exploration as its main structure, this collection reduces movement to walking left. It builds tension from repetition and familiar routines, then turns school journeys, commutes, and neighborhood routes into horror scenarios.
What is Tsugunohi?
This collection presents nine Japanese horror stories built around a narrow input: moving the character left.
It includes seven earlier Tsugunohi episodes and two Steam-original chapters. The stories follow people and a cat during familiar routines, including journeys home from school, a commute to cram school, a neighborhood visit, and a patrol of a cat’s territory. Each scenario begins with ordinary daily life before strange events disrupt it. Episodes involve a missing mother, an unsettling intersection, a haunted train route, antique toys, and a ghostly railroad crossing. The railroad-crossing story is connected to the earlier episode set on a parallel train.
