Our take on Train Life: A Railway Simulator
Combining driving with company management means attention is split between the cab and the business. Players focused on the act of driving may find that hiring staff, choosing contracts and maintaining locomotives take time away from the route.
What is Train Life: A Railway Simulator?
Train Life combines locomotive driving with railway-company management.
Take passengers or freight across 10 countries and learn how each train handles power and braking. Routes cover 10,000 kilometres of track through Eastern and Western Europe and the Alps, with stations such as Berlin Central Station and Zurich Main Station. Driving involves following signs, managing speed, switches, braking distances and station stops, and adjusting to weather and time of day. Unexpected events include trees or snow on the line and other trains in the way. On the management side, create a company, buy and maintain locomotives, hire conductors, select contracts and develop routes for passenger and freight services. Trains can also be customized, including their exterior and cab interior.
