Our take on TownCraft
The bounce point comes as the settlement grows: players must keep track of workers assigned to mines, fields, shops, lakes, and taverns while the day-and-night cycle changes their routines.
What is TownCraft?
TownCraft combines crafting and city building in a medieval setting.
Starting alone with an empty plot and a road, players make basic tools, gather resources, and establish a settlement with workers and inhabitants. The town can include shops, taverns, workshops, windmills, bridges, and jetties. Workers manage mines, quarries, fields, lakes, shops, and taverns while a real-time day-and-night cycle shapes their routines. Each world uses a procedurally generated map, with resources including cotton, gold, grapes, wheat, wax, and stone. Exploration, trading, hiring, farming, fishing, and foraging support the town’s growth. An offbeat story places the settlement between two rival kingdoms competing for control.
