Our take on Prosperity
Rather than centering the city-building loop on construction alone, Prosperity puts resource allocation, worker placement, and relations with other towns alongside settlement growth. Its scope also includes policies and crises such as famine and natural disasters.
What is Prosperity?
Prosperity is a city-building resource management game about guiding a settlement from a camp of peasants toward a city.
Workers can be assigned to buildings that grow, produce, or refine materials. Progress unlocks additional buildings, jobs, technologies, and mechanics. Managing the settlement involves balancing investment with conservation, tracking renewable and nonrenewable resources, and responding to growing demand. Policies can reduce management demands, while crime, famine, and natural disasters add factors to consider. Relationships with other towns and factions provide access to rare resources. Buildings can be upgraded, and new technologies and trading allies can support the settlement’s development.
