Our take on Tin Hearts
The relaxed tone and readily available hints frame Tin Hearts as gentle puzzle play, but its four-act structure and evolving set of more than 50 puzzles point to a substantial narrative campaign rather than a small collection of simple diversions.
What is Tin Hearts?
Guide a troop of tin soldiers through more than 50 puzzles set across four acts in a Victorian home.
Arrange routes with inventions such as toy cannons, trampoline drums, balloon machines, and a power glove, while directing soldiers toward their destination. A controllable Mr Soldier can leave formation to scout areas and uncover additional details. Time controls let players pause, rewind, and fast-forward actions, and hints are available during puzzle solving. The story follows inventor Albert J. Butterworth through memories, photographs, and handwritten letters, exploring family, love, compromise, and the Guild of Toy Makers. Soldiers can bounce, glide, and soar through locations including a garden and basement. A separate version is built for virtual reality platforms.

Tin Hearts compared to similar games
Tin Hearts uses toy soldiers, inventions, time controls, and narrative exploration to structure its puzzles, while Jusant centers on climbing tools, stamina management, and route-finding up a tower. Both combine environmental puzzles with exploration, but their core interactions differ: Tin Hearts redirects moving units, whereas Jusant focuses on climbing and discovering paths.
