Our take on Aaero2
The store presentation emphasizes music, visual effects, bosses, and multiplayer, while the core structure is a guided rhythm-shooter built around repeating levels and score pursuit. Its breadth comes from modes, tracks, and objectives rather than open-ended exploration or a large-scale multiplayer format.
What is Aaero2?
Aaero2 is an on-rails rhythm shooter built around electronic music tracks from Monstercat artists.
Players guide a ship through alien environments by following illuminated paths, timing missiles and cannon fire to the music, and pursuing high scores. The game includes a single-player campaign, two-player cooperative play, and player-versus-player modes available locally or online. More than 20 levels feature environments shaped around their accompanying tracks, with enemy bots, dynamic visual effects, and boss encounters involving large creatures, aliens, and robots. Online leaderboards, achievements, daily goals, and bonus XP provide additional objectives. The gameplay combines rhythm tracing with twin-stick shooting and includes a redesigned combat system.
