Our take on The Knightling
The shield-centered design gives traversal and combat a distinct focus, but limits the Knightling’s arsenal to one primary piece of equipment. Players looking for broad weapon variety or conventional sword-focused battles may find that specialization restrictive.
What is The Knightling?
Play as the Knightling, an aspiring knight searching for the missing Sir Lionstone across the open-world lands of Clesseia.
The adventure spans multiple regions containing secrets, citizens to assist, bandits, monsters, and clues about the shield’s power and the realm’s history. Combat centers on a legendary shield infused with Callyrium: block attacks, parry enemies, create openings, then use attacks and combos. Shield abilities also support traversal, platforming, and sliding across the landscape. Training and abilities can be upgraded using praise earned while exploring and overcoming obstacles. The Digital Deluxe Edition adds golden colors for the Knightling and Magnus, Albamare colors, and a lantern-ribbon cosmetic.
