The open-world Rally Raid format gives up the clarity of fixed circuits in favor of broad terrain and route navigation. Seasons, weather and varied vehicle classes add environmental demands, but the structure is less suited to brief, tightly defined races.
What is Dakar Desert Rally?
Race through an open-world setting based on the Dakar Rally, with over 30 stages from the official 2020, 2021 and 2022 races.
Drive licensed motorcycles, cars, trucks, quads and SSVs from leading manufacturers, with official teams and pilots represented. Single-player mode follows a Rally Raid career, while online multiplayer supports competitive events. The game includes four seasons, a full day-night cycle, sandstorms, sunlight, rain, snow and mud. Routes extend beyond established tracks and roads across a large open world. Steering-wheel support is included. The Deluxe Edition adds the base game’s Season Pass, two immediate vehicle unlocks and five planned DLC packs containing vehicles, a map and two Rally Events.
