Our take on The Golden Eyed Ghosts
Players who expect combat to be the main source of challenge may hit a different wall when choices involving other characters come into play: decisions can lead to trust, favors, or betrayal, so the journey also asks players to weigh whom to help.
What is The Golden Eyed Ghosts?
This dark fantasy action-adventure follows Orion, an exiled warrior searching for his lost memories in the crumbling kingdom of Andromeda.
Explore forests, icefields, bogs, and decaying cities as you face beasts and other threats, recover four stolen legendary swords, and investigate buried secrets. Combat choices include attacking enemies, avoiding fights, using life energy from defeated foes to heal, or retreating to grindstones. Orion’s equipment can also be adapted to different opponents. Decisions involving other characters, including a thief, a maiden, and a father, shape the way forward and may lead to trust or betrayal. The journey uses a Metroidvania structure and draws on soulslike conventions, with survival against formidable enemies at its center.
