What is Summum Aeterna?
Summum Aeterna is a fast-paced roguelite in which the King of Darkness explores generated worlds filled with enemies, traps, treasures, and bosses.
Each run uses a seed whose genes affect the world's dangers, encounters, rewards, and map size. Defeat leads to another attempt, while skill-tree progress and unlocked world improvements persist. Combat uses swords, pistols, and scythes; weapons can be customized with gems that change attributes and add offensive or passive abilities.
Players can alter world conditions, unlock special rooms, adjust item rarity, and change or recycle seed genes. The Board of Champions records the highest-level seed completed in the shortest time, with separate rankings for influenced and standard seeds. The top three competitors receive crowns that remain in-game while they hold those positions.
