Rather than placing deduction in a static meeting room, Stowaway ties suspicion to a navigable 1500s ship. Direct-line-of-sight voice communication and sailor duties keep the social contest active while the vessel continues toward land.
What is Stowaway?
Stowaway is an online social deduction game for 10 players, set aboard a fully explorable pirate ship based on the 1577 Kriegsschiff Revenge.
Players join either the Sailors or the Stowaways. Sailors keep the vessel on course, repair it, and vote suspected stowaways out. Stowaways receive a pistol at the start of the round and must eliminate the sailors before the ship reaches land, while avoiding votes and the detective. Voice communication works during rounds between players who have direct line of sight. The ship can be explored from the crow's nest to the bottom deck, making its layout part of the round's social and pursuit gameplay.
