StrategyIs ACT worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Groups of 4 to 6 friends who enjoy social deception
- Players who want short multiplayer rounds with secret roles
- Voice-chat users who enjoy negotiating alliances and identifying opponents
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players looking for a long-form role-playing structure rather than 10-minute matches
- Players seeking a game built around one fixed objective instead of different secret jobs
- Players who do not want microphone-based communication to be part of the round
- Players who prefer games without player killing
Our take on ACT
The 10-minute match structure concentrates the experience on immediate suspicion, alliances, and attacks, but leaves little room for extended role development. Because job discovery depends on voice conversations, the design gives less space to players who prefer a mainly nonverbal experience.
What is ACT?
ACT is a multiplayer mini role-playing game for 4 to 6 players, with each match lasting 10 minutes.
Each participant receives a hidden job with distinct goals, abilities, and ways to earn money. The six listed roles are Police, FBI, Robber, Mafia, Kamikaze, and Serial Killer. Players communicate through voice chat to work out one another’s jobs and decide whom to trust or attack.
Police can enter criminal groups and arrest criminals; FBI players cooperate against terrorists; Robbers target the shop; Mafia members recruit others; Kamikaze players earn money by being killed; and Serial Killers pursue other players. Every participant has a gun, creating the possibility of killing others or being killed. Alliances, deception, recruitment, arrests, and role-specific objectives shape each short round.
How ACT plays
- 01Hidden Job Roles
