Our take on Gummy Jump
The bounce point arrives after a mistake sends the gummy far down the hill, especially for players expecting forgiving checkpoints. Casual players may hit another wall when leaving for the menu resets the game to its starting position instead of preserving progress.
What is Gummy Jump?
Gummy Jump is a 2D platformer about guiding a gummy to the top of a hill through a series of challenges.
A small movement error can send the character a long way back down, making each attempt vulnerable to lost progress. Keyboard controls are available, along with Xbox and PlayStation controllers; the jump buttons are Y and Triangle respectively. Returning to the menu resets the game to its starting point, which supports speedrunning attempts but interrupts casual progress. The game includes music from NCS, and the vendor says it can be used in videos and streams.
Players can also compare attempts with friends. The game is listed on speedrun. com, and the vendor reports that all 112 beta testers raged at least once.
