Our take on Who Takes The Crown?
Its defining structure is the link between chess mistakes and physical progress: a blunder or failed jump can send the pawn backward while it climbs toward the crown.
What is Who Takes The Crown??
Control a pawn through platforming levels built from chess games, climbing upward to claim a crown.
Each chess position is played against the Stockfish engine, and a blunder can send progress backward. Movement requires timing and patience: a failed maneuver may return the pawn to the level's bottom. Adventure mode offers Casual, Normal, and Immortal settings with Stockfish ratings of 1000, 1300, and 1600. Casual disables jump failure, while Immortal sends restarts to the level's beginning. Stacks presents seven boards in vertical layouts, including historical games, internet-celebrity games, and procedurally generated games based on a seed. Completion times enter highscores, with the fastest player's name shown on the level crown.
