The role setup makes coordination central, but the driver and gunner have limited visibility and depend on teammates to locate targets. The commander has a map and a broad view, while also handling communication and airstrikes.
What is Steel Crew?
Steel Crew centers on 4-on-4 tank battles.
Players take the role of driver, gunner, or commander, and can crew a tank with up to two friends. Drivers shift through a manual gearbox and have a restricted view. Gunners operate the main gun and coaxial machine gun, using a periscope and magnified scope to aim. Commanders survey the surroundings, use a map showing friendly tanks and capture points, coordinate with other commanders, and call airstrikes. Opening the driver’s or commander’s hatch gives them a wider view but leaves them vulnerable to machine-gun fire. The game focuses on VR, while also supporting gamepads and mouse-and-keyboard controls in VR and on traditional screens. Tanks have detailed interiors.
