Our take on Starion Tactics
The game shifts attention away from routine faction administration and toward choices about planetary expansion, resources and fleet construction. Its adjustable match size also replaces a fixed campaign scale, while cards and artifacts introduce variable events into the turn-based structure.
What is Starion Tactics?
Lead one of four human or alien factions in a turn-based digital board game about galactic dominance.
Set the scale of each match across 10 to 100 planets, then play a single-player skirmish or join a multiplayer war with up to 8 players. Explore worlds with different conditions, including resource-rich and barren planets, and decide whether to invade, colonize, exploit, terraform, destroy or ignore them. Resources gathered from planets fund a fleet ranging from small scouts to large battle cruisers. Faction routines are handled automatically, leaving strategic choices to the player. Cards and artifacts can introduce events such as mining improvements, solar eruptions and labour strikes. Custom settings allow different game configurations.
