Our take on SpellForce - Platinum Edition
Rather than separating role-playing from strategic command, the game places avatar development, settlement construction, and army control in the same structure. Direct hero control also replaces the detached viewpoint often associated with strategy games.
What is SpellForce - Platinum Edition?
SpellForce - Platinum Edition includes three titles: SpellForce: The Order of Dawn, SpellForce: Shadow of the Phoenix, and SpellForce: Breath of Winter.
The games combine real-time strategy with role-playing, allowing players to improve a hero avatar while building settlements and fighting battles. Six races—Humans, Dwarves, Elves, Dark Elves, Orcs, and Trolls—can be used at the same time. Combat includes direct avatar control, spells, enchanted items, and more than 30 enemy races, including goblins, demons, Fire Angels, werewolves, and Ice Dragons. The stories feature magical portals, necromancers, ancient mages, dragons, and conflicts in the world of Eo. Breath of Winter also includes a free-play mode in which avatar abilities can be developed across individual maps.
