SimulationIs Special Delivery worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- VR players who want short arcade-style delivery runs rather than a long-form simulation
- Seated VR users who prefer motion controls, a gamepad or VirZOOM
- Arcade fans who enjoy hazard avoidance, scoring and route progression
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking open-ended newspaper management may hit the wall at the fixed 28-day route and four-section structure
- Players wanting calm deliveries may bounce off the constant hazards, subscriber-loss condition and rival-paper boss events
- Players without a supported VR headset cannot play the game
- Players looking for a story-driven or multiplayer experience may find the delivery-and-scoring format too narrow
Our take on Special Delivery
The bounce point arrives when losing subscribers becomes a run-ending condition. Players who want to recover from mistakes through open-ended route management may stop at that system, while the weekly boss deliveries add another pressure point before the 28-day structure is complete.
What is Special Delivery?
Special Delivery is a VR newspaper-delivery arcade game.
Players steer a route through hazards such as cars, dogs, tornadoes, traps and rival-paper boss encounters. Deliveries build a subscriber base and open four neighborhood sections, with a new section added each game week. The campaign covers 28 game days, ending early if all subscribers are lost. Players can collect coins during Sunday special editions to cover tossed papers while continuing deliveries. Bonus points come from interacting with objects such as lawn gnomes, trashcans and windows belonging to non-subscribers. The game supports motion controls, gamepads and VirZOOM, and includes a seated VR mode.
How Special Delivery plays

- 05Multiple Controllers
- Motion controls, a gamepad and VirZOOM can be used for play.
