Our take on Maze Roller
The bounce point comes when maze navigation becomes the whole experience: players looking for combat, a broad world, or substantial story progression may stop at the repeated task of guiding Bernard toward cheese.
What is Maze Roller?
Maze Roller follows Bernard, a rat searching for cheese at the end of a series of mazes.
It offers Classic and Fantasy themes, with more than 20 levels currently included. Three modes change the way each maze is solved: direct control guides Bernard through the course, board tilting rolls him in a chosen direction, and rotating a vertical maze lets gravity move him toward the goal. Traps can obstruct the routes. Completing challenges and making discoveries unlocks artwork and trophies, which are displayed in a private gallery. The game supports VR motion controllers in all three modes and is built for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. The vendor also states that more free levels are planned.
