We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Players who want open-ended space exploration with mining and construction
- Groups interested in shared corporations, delegated roles, and logistics
- Simulation fans who want to build ships and automate planetary production
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a linear story with fixed objectives rather than open-ended exploration and enterprise building
- Players who prefer short, self-contained sessions over resource gathering, construction, trading, and logistics management
- Players looking for a single-player-only experience rather than an online game involving corporations and marketplaces
Our take on SpaceCraft
The presentation emphasizes an immense, evolving universe and a wide range of systems, but the product is presented in Early Access, with launch content and a roadmap framing it as an evolving project rather than a finished scope.
What is SpaceCraft?
SpaceCraft is an online space exploration and construction game set across solar systems and planets.
Players pilot ships, scan environments, gather raw materials, and turn resources into ship components or trade goods. Ships are assembled from crafted parts, while player-created blueprints can be bought, built, and resold. Planetary bases can be expanded with automated production, drones, cargo vessels, energy management, and delivery networks. Players can also form Corporations, assign roles, divide work, and manage operations ranging from small crews to large commercial organizations. Missions, contracts, services, and marketplace transactions connect players to an economy in which trades affect prices. Travel includes real-time space flight, planetary transitions, and faster-than-light jumps between distant systems.
How SpaceCraft plays
- 01Player-driven economy
- Marketplace trades affect prices, while players can exchange resources, ship parts, blueprints, services, missions, and contracts.
- 02Modular ship construction
- Ships are assembled from crafted components, with each added part affecting their performance.
- 03Automated base operations
- Planetary facilities can use drones and cargo ships for production, extraction, mining, energy, and interplanetary deliveries.
- 04Corporation management
- Players can create or join Corporations, assign responsibilities, and coordinate work across different organizational sizes.
- 05Galaxy exploration
- Exploration includes planets, asteroid fields, abandoned stations, derelict ships, scanning, real-time piloting, and faster-than-light travel.
