Soul Dog TD is a tower defense game in which players defend a leader from 30 waves of enemies.
The Soul Dog collects spirits left by defeated foes, and each collected soul offers a choice of one of three random items. While the dog collects souls, the army is left defenseless, making timing part of the strategy. The army has six units, each able to switch between automatic attacks and training. Training earns experience and levels, but a unit cannot attack while training.
Players balance defending against current enemies with developing their units. Money earned in battle can also be spent on skills in a tree to strengthen the army. Soul collection, item choices, unit assignments, and skill upgrades form the game’s described progression.
