Our take on Countless Army
The conquest premise sounds broad, but the listed structure centers on sending monster waves into defended locations. The game provides progression through classes and skills, yet its moment-to-moment play remains focused on deployment order, routes, spells, and overcoming defenses.
What is Countless Army?
Countless Army puts the player in the role of a Dark Lord commanding undead forces in real time.
Troops can be selected from up to 12 monster types, arranged in deployment order, and directed along chosen attack routes against villages and cities. Six spells provide magical support during assaults. Units gain levels and can specialize into one of two classes per monster type. A 50-skill progression tree adds further unlocks. The campaign spans six kingdoms, each with distinct biomes, across 52 maps, with conquest as the overall objective. The core structure reverses tower defense: instead of building defenses, the player sends successive enemy waves to overwhelm them.
