Our take on Sonic Origins
Rather than presenting one new campaign, this collection departs from the usual single-game structure by combining four main Sonic titles, 12 Game Gear games, alternate modes, and unlockable extras in one package.
What is Sonic Origins?
Sonic Origins Plus bundles four classic Sonic games—Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and Sonic CD—with 12 Game Gear titles.
The main games offer Classic mode with original resolution and limited lives, plus Anniversary Mode with unlimited lives and widescreen HD presentation. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy Rose are playable across the four main titles, with Amy added to the series for the first time. The collection also includes previously released add-on content, the Classic Music Pack, and the Premium Fun Pack. Additional unlockables include Mirror Mode, new stages, challenges, special stages, a music player, animated shorts, behind-the-scenes material, screen borders, and menu animations.
