Good fit- Arcade platform fans who want a structured 100-level story
- Groups of 2 to 4 players seeking a competitive fruit-collection mode

Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a slow-paced experience may find the screen-clearing action and timed modes too brisk.
- Those who want a single focused campaign may find the mix of story, battle, survival, and speed-run formats distracting.
- Players looking for a gun-focused shooter may not find the cloudie-based critter capture mechanics suitable.
Our take on Smoothcade
Its variety of modes comes at the cost of a singular campaign focus: the 100-level story sits alongside competitive, survival, and timed formats, each with a different objective.
What is Smoothcade?
Smoothcade is an arcade platform game about recovering a missing golden blender through 100 story levels.
Players fire cloudies to capture critters, then rush into them to remove them from the screen; jumping on cloudies can also provide extra height. A karma system allows switching between Mercy and Mayhem cloudies, affecting bonus items and power-ups. Story mode has three difficulty settings. Battle mode supports 2 to 4 players competing to collect fruit on procedurally generated levels.
Endless mode uses four lives on increasingly difficult procedurally generated levels. Speed Run covers a selected ten-level world, while Replay allows practice and attempts to earn three stars. The game also includes 16 characters with distinct skill sets, ten boss fights, unlockable modes, and settings such as player outlines, dimmed backgrounds, and auto-attack.
