Our take on Horned Knight
The bounce point arrives when movement precision becomes mandatory: wall climbs, air-dashes, timed sword strikes, and hazard timing combine into fatal mistakes. Players who dislike repeating sections after losing all heart pieces will feel the friction at the checkpoint restart.
What is Horned Knight?
Horned Knight is a 2D action-platformer set in a castle filled with undead enemies, traps, and environmental hazards.
Players move through 32 levels across four worlds, using jumping, air-dashing, wall climbing, and sword attacks. Combat includes timed strikes, fireball-throwing skeletons, venomous snakes, spike traps, lava pools, and large bosses with distinct attack patterns. Heart pieces provide additional life, while losing them sends the knight back to the latest checkpoint. Secret routes can reveal more heart pieces. The game includes two difficulty modes, pixel-art animation, varied castle environments, and a soundtrack. Its controls are presented as accessible to start, with movement and combat requiring increasing precision.

Horned Knight compared to similar games
Horned Knight focuses on 2D sword-based platforming across 32 levels, with traps, bosses, heart pieces, and checkpoints. Sundered®: Eldritch Edition is described as a chaotic metroidvania, while Horned Knight presents a fixed four-world level structure rather than that broader metroidvania format.
