SimulationIs Size Matters worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Players who enjoy timed platform challenges built around changing movement and reach
- Puzzle players who like searching environments for recipe components and machine instructions
- Players who want to adjust movement and processing settings rather than use fixed defaults
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a relaxed pace may find the shrinking timer leaves little room to search and experiment.
- Players who prefer broad environments may find the laboratory setting and antidote objective narrow in scope.
- Players looking for a driving-focused racing game may not find the laboratory platforming and crafting loop they want.
Our take on Size Matters
The shrinking timer gives the laboratory search a clear sense of urgency, but it also limits time for trial and error. Adjustable settings can change parts of the challenge, though the central task remains finding components and producing the antidote before shrinking too far.
What is Size Matters?
Play as a scientist who shrinks continuously after ingesting a chemical.
Search the laboratory for ingredients and formulas while the changing scale makes it harder to reach equipment and supplies. Use the lab machines to process ingredients and follow their formulas, producing components that can feed into other recipes. Find the three key antidote ingredients and place them in the antidote producer before time runs out. The laboratory can also be rearranged to reach objects as the scientist gets smaller. The game ends when the scientist shrinks too far. Settings let players adjust the starting height, the number of double jumps, and the Chemical Processor’s processing time.
How Size Matters plays
- 01Shrinking Platforming
- As the scientist gets smaller, reaching lab equipment and ingredients becomes more difficult.
- 02Ingredient Processing
- Formulas link ingredients to specific machines, and some processed ingredients are used in later recipes.
- 03Adjustable Settings
- Options include starting height, double-jump count, and Chemical Processor duration.
