SimulationIs Sea of Craft worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Players who enjoy vehicle construction but do not want a narrowly linear adventure
- Sandbox fans who want exploration and puzzles rather than a focused racing game
- Multiplayer players interested in maritime competition who do not want a single-player-only game
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a tightly linear adventure may find the open-ended construction and multiple stage solutions less structured
- Those looking for a focused racing game may find the building, exploration, puzzles, and combat divide attention from racing
- Players who do not want to design or modify vehicles may find construction central to the experience
Our take on Sea of Craft
Its broad construction system trades a narrowly focused sailing experience for experimentation across ships, vehicles, and aircraft. Players seeking a defined progression or a single activity must instead engage with the wider mix of building, exploration, puzzles, combat, and multiplayer.
What is Sea of Craft?
Sea of Craft is a sandbox game about constructing vehicles and sailing across planet Beella.
Players assemble ships, land vehicles, and aircraft from hundreds of parts and materials, including decks, drivers, weapons, and spray components. Three building environments include a desert oasis, an archipelago, and an open ocean. Theme stages teach construction and sailing through puzzles with multiple possible solutions. Other activities include rescuing crocodiles, battling pirates and monsters, collecting treasures for ship modifications, and competing in free-for-all multiplayer matches. Blueprints can be uploaded to the Workshop, while creations from other players can be downloaded and favorited. The game also features simulated water, ocean landscapes, archipelagos, and ruins from Beella's lost civilizations.
