Our take on STRIDE
The central format is rooftop parkour in virtual reality: movement across the city combines vaulting, swinging, wall-runs, and combat.
What is STRIDE?
STRIDE is a virtual reality parkour game set on the rooftops of a futuristic city.
Move across the buildings by vaulting, swinging, rolling, and running along walls, while using a 9mm weapon against enemies such as snipers. Solo modes include Endless Mode, with generated terrain and a collapsing world behind the runner; Time Run, which focuses on speed and leaderboard competition; and Arena Mode, where tasks take place across an open rooftop area. Multiplayer includes Horde, King of the Hill, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and Capture the Flag.
Deathmatch supports up to 10 players, while Team Deathmatch splits players into two teams of up to five. Objectives include surviving infected players, holding a crown, defending locations, or carrying a flag to base.
How STRIDE plays
- 01Generated Endless Runs
- The route continues across newly generated terrain while the world breaks apart behind the runner.
- 02Rooftop Arena Tasks
- Tasks can involve collecting items, completing timed routes, avoiding sniper detection, or defeating enemies.
- 03Team Deathmatch
- Two sides of up to five players compete for map positions and useful pickups.
- 04Capture the Flag
- Players take the opposing side's flag back to their own base while navigating the rooftops.
